In Côte d’Ivoire, the environment a generator works in is largely defined by humidity. In Abidjan and the southern regions rainfall is heavy and humidity is high all year; towards the north the climate becomes drier and dust increases in the dry season. The grid is 50 Hz; the voltage is given as 220/380 V, and we confirm the site value at the quotation stage.
The south: humidity and rain
Humidity causes the most trouble on sets that stand idle: condensation forms in the alternator windings and the panel. Alternator and panel heaters prevent this. Surface protection and a well-ventilated canopy protect the body. The set should also be placed on raised ground where rainwater does not collect, and the exhaust should be routed so that rain does not enter it.
The north: heat and dust
In the interior and the north, summer heat and dust in the dry season come first. We choose the radiator for the highest temperature on site and upgrade the air filtration. We explain how much power an engine loses in the heat in power loss with temperature and altitude.
By type of facility
- Agricultural processing and industrial plants: the set runs long hours during the harvest season; the selection is made on prime power. In large plants, running two sets in parallel with a synchronization panel is more efficient at low load.
- Hospitals, hotels and commercial buildings: the generator is a backup; the ATS panel brings the set online by itself during an outage.
- Construction sites: we offer trailer-mounted generators and, for night work, light towers.
Telecom stations are also common places for generators.
Fuel
We choose the tank from the set’s hourly consumption under load and the expected running time. In the rainy season road conditions can delay refuelling; the tank volume should include a margin for this. For a rough calculation, see our fuel tank sizing article.
Grid and quote
Grid: 50 Hz, 220/380 V. The ratings in our catalogue are for 50 Hz / 1,500 rpm.
For a quote, just tell us: power or a load list, standby or prime, canopied or open type, panel requirements, fuel tank, the site voltage and whether the set will run in the south or the north.
The sets leave Türkiye mostly by sea. Each one passes a full-load test before it leaves the factory. A commercial invoice and packing list are prepared; a certificate of origin and other documents are issued on request. Request a quote.

Lead time, documents and warranty
- Lead time
- Sets with Quartz, SDEC and Baudouin engines: 1–3 weeks after order confirmation, depending on stock. Sets with Perkins, Cummins, Volvo Penta, Kubota, Scania and FPT Iveco engines: 3–4 weeks after order confirmation. Sets with Kofo or Yuchai engines: 1–2 weeks after order confirmation. Transport time is added and depends on the route.
- Export documents
- Each shipment goes with the datasheet, factory full-load test report, commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin. Other documents required in your country are prepared on request.
- Warranty
- 12 months or 1,000 operating hours, for all engine brands.
- Factory visit
- You are welcome to visit our factory in Tuzla, Istanbul, to see production and the full-load test bench before you order. Contact us to arrange a date.

Frequently asked questions
What voltage and frequency do generators run at in Côte d’Ivoire?
The grid in Côte d’Ivoire is 50 Hz; the voltage is given as 220/380 V, and 230/400 V is also found in some facilities. The 50 Hz / 1,500 rpm ratings in our catalogue match this grid; we confirm the site voltage at the quotation stage and set the generator accordingly.
How is a generator protected in a humid climate?
Alternator and panel heaters prevent condensation; corrosion-resistant surface protection and a well-ventilated canopy protect the body. A standby set should be run under load at regular intervals, and maintenance should not be put off.
How is a generator chosen for an agricultural processing plant?
If the plant runs long hours a day during the harvest season, the selection is made on prime power. The starting power of the motors and the drying and cooling loads go into the calculation; in large plants, running two sets in parallel is more efficient at low load.
