In Serbia, most generator requests come from industrial zones, warehouses and logistics centres. In these facilities the load changes through the day, and if a production line stops, the loss is counted in minutes. In the continental climate, winters are cold and summers hot. The grid is 50 Hz, 230/400 V, directly compatible with the 50 Hz / 1,500 rpm ratings in our catalogue.
Parallel operation in a factory
In a plant working shifts, there can be a big difference between the night load and the day load. A single large set runs inefficiently at low load at night. Instead, we recommend running two or more sets in parallel with a synchronization panel:
- When the load falls, one of the sets stops, which saves fuel and engine hours.
- While one set is in maintenance, the others keep production going.
- When the plant grows, a new set can be added to the system.
When we size the sets, we also take into account the start of the largest motor and sudden loads such as compressors and presses. For a first estimate, see our article what size generator do I need.
Warehouses and the cold chain
In cold stores, an outage means lost product. The ATS panel starts the set automatically when the mains fails and transfers the load within a few seconds. The starting current of the refrigeration compressors is decisive in selecting the set.
Automation and IT
On a modern production line, PLCs, drives and servers stop even in an outage of a few seconds, and restarting can take hours. For these loads a UPS is placed ahead of the generator; the UPS carries the first seconds, the generator the hours that follow. If frequency drives make up a large share of the load, the alternator must be sized for harmonics. The details are in our article on UPS and generators.
Continental winter
In winter the temperature often drops below zero. For a backup set to start first time during an outage, it needs a block (coolant) heater, the right antifreeze and a well-maintained battery. The canopy protects the set from snow and rain and reduces noise in installations near residential areas. In the summer heat, the radiator has to be chosen for the highest temperature.
Other applications
Hospitals and public buildings, commercial buildings, construction projects, telecom stations and farms. In hospitals, changeover time and redundancy are set by standards; we cover this on our hospital generator page. For construction sites we also ship trailer-mounted generators and light towers. For sets that will run continuously, the selection is made on prime power.
Shipping and quote
The sets leave Türkiye usually by road. Each one passes a full-load test before it leaves the factory. A commercial invoice and packing list are prepared; a certificate of origin and any other documents the buyer requires are issued on request.
For a quote, give us a load list, the starting method of the large motors, running hours, canopy and panel preference, and the fuel tank. Request a quote.

Frequently asked questions
What voltage and frequency should a generator in Serbia have?
The Serbian grid is 50 Hz, 230/400 V. The 50 Hz / 1,500 rpm ratings in our catalogue match this grid directly; we confirm the site voltage at the quotation stage.
One large generator or several smaller ones for a factory?
If the load changes a lot during the day and between shifts, running several sets in parallel with a synchronization panel is usually better: at low load one of the sets stops, and the plant keeps running during maintenance. If the load is steady and within what one set can supply, a single set is the simpler solution.
How are generators shipped from Türkiye to Serbia?
Usually by road, through the Balkans. For large sets and containerised installations, other modes of transport can also be used depending on the project. A commercial invoice and packing list are prepared, and other documents are issued on request.
