One set or several sets in parallel?
In this power class the load can be supplied by one set or by several sets running in parallel through a synchronization panel. In a parallel system one set can be stopped for maintenance while the others carry the load, and at low load one set can be shut down. The choice depends on the load profile, the redundancy required and site conditions, and is made at the quotation stage.
Standby power is for backup during mains failures. Where there is no grid, or the set will run for long periods, size the set on its prime rating.
