Generator Controllers
Optional generator controllers: Datakom, Deep Sea, ComAp and EMKO single-generator and synchronisation models, with a feature comparison table.

The standard control panel on Terex Diesel generators is the Datakom DKG-309 for models below 500 kVA and the Datakom D-500 for models of 500 kVA and above. For different functional and communication needs, the controllers below are available as options: seven models for single-generator standby and prime power applications, and eight models for synchronisation systems in which several generators run in parallel.
Single-generator controllers
New-generation single-generator control units that combine multi-functionality with extensive communication with EFI engines, for standby and prime power applications.

- Deep Sea 6120: the wired remote start input is standard on the unit; access via GSM or Ethernet requires a separate gateway module (e.g. DSE890). The manufacturer now offers the new-generation DSE6120 MKIII in its place.
- The battery charger is part of the generator control panel hardware, not a controller feature; it is fitted as standard whichever controller is chosen.

Choosing a controller
We specify the right controller together with you at the quotation stage. Just tell us the generator power and how it will be used (standby, prime power or synchronised operation).
Frequently asked questions
Which controller is standard on the generators?
The standard control panel on Terex Diesel generators is the Datakom DKG-309 for models below 500 kVA and the Datakom D-500 for models of 500 kVA and above. Datakom D500-GSM, Deep Sea 6120, Deep Sea 7320, ComAp AMF25 and EMKO Trans-AUTO are available as options.
When is a synchronisation controller needed?
A synchronisation controller is needed when several generators will run in parallel with each other or with the mains. It matches voltage, frequency and phase angle so that the generators share the load. For these applications, Datakom D500 MK2, Datakom D700, Deep Sea 8610, Deep Sea 8620, Deep Sea 8660, ComAp InteliCompact NT SPtM, ComAp InteliGen BaseBox and ComAp InteliGen 200 are available.
Can remote monitoring be added?
Remote monitoring via SIM card is available as an option on all single-generator controllers except the Datakom DKG 309. On the Datakom D500 and D500-GSM, Ethernet (TCP-IP) communication is standard. Stating your remote monitoring requirement at the quotation stage ensures the right controller is selected.
