Terex Diesel is a diesel generator manufacturer in Türkiye (Turkey). We build 10–4,125 kVA sets at our 2,000 m² facility in Tuzla, Istanbul, and have shipped them to more than 100 countries.
On this page you will find the markets we work with most. Each country page covers that country’s grid values and climate, and the questions we will ask when you request a quote.
Same kVA, different generator
A 500 kVA set going to Iraq and a 500 kVA set going to Kazakhstan are the same on paper, not on site. One will run for hours a day at 50 °C in the shade; the other has to start first time at −30 °C. That is why we always ask the same things before preparing a quote:
- Voltage and frequency. The markets below run on 50 Hz mains; those on 60 Hz: Mexico and Saudi Arabia. Voltage is 230/400 V, 220/380 V, or 127/220 V depending on the country. The ratings in our catalogue are for 50 Hz / 1,500 rpm; if you need 60 Hz, see our article on the difference between 50 Hz and 60 Hz.
- Highest and lowest temperature, altitude. An engine loses power in heat and at altitude. We choose the radiator and the rating accordingly. We explain the logic of the calculation in power loss with temperature and altitude.
- Dust and sand. If there is any, the air filter changes.
- The generator’s job. Mains backup, or a primary source running 12 hours a day? The answer decides the choice between standby and prime power.

- Power (kVA) or a load list
- Standby or prime
- Voltage and frequency
- Open type, canopied, containerised or trailer-mounted
- Whether you need an ATS or a synchronization panel
- Fuel tank and required running time
- Temperature range and altitude of the site, and the delivery point
If you have no load list, the power calculator gives a first estimate.
How does the process work?
When your request arrives, we first ask for any missing information; a few emails or one phone call is usually enough. Then we send a quote with the model we propose, its technical data and the equipment list. After approval the set is built, passes a full-load test and is prepared for shipping. By this stage the delivery point, the mode of transport and the required documents are settled. If anything changes on your site, for example the installation moves from an indoor room to an open area, we need to know before production.
Shipping and documents
We ship the set by sea, by road or in a container, depending on the country and the project. Every generator passes a full-load test before it leaves the factory. Shipping method, Incoterms and the list of export documents are agreed in writing at the quotation stage. For companies that want to assemble in their own country, we also offer CKD kits. If you are importing for the first time, our supplier checklist for importing from Türkiye lists what to check before you order.

Frequently asked questions
Which countries does Terex Diesel export generators to?
We ship the generators built at our facility in Türkiye to more than 100 countries. Our main markets include Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, the Balkan countries, Dubai (UAE), Tanzania and Argentina. If your country is not on the list, you can still ask for a quote.
What information should I give when requesting a quote from abroad?
Power (kVA), whether the generator will be backup or the primary source (standby / prime), voltage and frequency, open type or canopied, whether you need an ATS or synchronization panel, the fuel tank, and the highest and lowest temperatures and altitude at the site. With this information the first quote is right and needs no revision later.
Which documents are prepared for export?
The documents your customs and your project require are listed and agreed in writing at the quotation stage, before production.
