We build diesel generator sets for projects in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain. All sets are produced and full-load tested at our factory in Istanbul and shipped directly from there. Quotations, technical questions and documents are handled by our export team in Istanbul.
50 Hz and 60 Hz
Saudi Arabia runs at 60 Hz. For Saudi projects the sets are built as 60 Hz / 1,800 rpm versions; the output at 60 Hz depends on the engine, alternator and voltage, so we confirm it in the quotation. The United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain run at 50 Hz, which matches the 50 Hz / 1,500 rpm ratings in our catalogue. The site voltage is confirmed at the quotation stage.
Heat and dust
Summer temperatures in the Gulf reach 45–50 °C. In this heat an engine delivers less power and the radiator has to reject more heat. We ask for the highest site temperature, size the radiator for it and move up one rating where needed. For dusty sites we recommend heavier air filtration and a filter check after every sand storm. Canopies are ventilated so that hot air does not build up inside.
Engines
Perkins and Cummins engines are the most requested in the region; Baudouin, SDEC and Volvo Penta are also available. Perkins, Cummins and Volvo Penta sets are fitted with Stamford alternators. The model code shows the engine and alternator, and the datasheet of the quoted model is sent with the offer.
Transport
Road transport from Istanbul to Sohar, Oman takes about 12–15 days. Transport to other Gulf destinations is quoted per project. Sets are prepared for road or sea transport at the factory.

Transport time is added and depends on the route.
